The Manchester United midfielder will miss the Les Bleus rally. He tested positive for coronavirus and was placed in isolation.
The Manchester United player, Paul Pogba, will not be present at the next gathering of the French team.

Indeed, the 27-year-old midfielder tested positive for coronavirus, as confirmed by the coach Didier Deschamps. The 2018 World Champion will therefore miss the two League of Nations matches against Croatia and Sweden. He has been replaced in the team by Rennes midfielder Eduardo Camavinga.

Tanguy Ndombele, playing for Tottenham, is also absent after testing positive for Covid-19.

From now on, Paul Pogba will have to spend 14 days in isolation. This means he will miss the start of Manchester United’s pre-season preparations, which will begin next week after an extended 2019-20 season following the Red Devils’ participation in the Europa League semi-finals.

France will travel to Sweden for its first League of Nations match on Friday, September 5, before hosting Croatia in a rematch of the 2018 World Cup final on September 8. Les Bleus will come up with a list full of surprises for these two events.
