COVID-19: TRUMP EXPERT CALLS FOR UPRISING AGAINST RESTRICTIONS.

“The only way to stop this is for people to stand up,” Dr. Scott Atlas tweeted Sunday in response to the announcement by Michigan Democratic Governor Gretchen Withmer of new restrictions to curb the spread of VIDOC-19, including a three-week suspension of face-to-face teaching in high school and university.

Atlas is the radiologist whose president prefers the advice of Dr. Anthony Fauci, a leading epidemiologist, in the fight against the coronavirus. Withmer is the governor that right-wing extremists have wanted to kidnap and murder recently. “It took my breath away, to tell you the truth,” she said on MSNBC on Monday morning in response to Dr. Atlas’ comments.

More than 1 million new cases of coronavirus infection have been reported in the United States in the past week, a record number. Michigan is one of several states and localities, including New Mexico, Washington and Chicago, that have implemented varying degrees of containment measures to stop the epidemic from accelerating. What these states and localities have in common is that they are led by Democrats.
