Borussia Dortmund players believe Jadon Sancho will remain in the Bundesliga for another season, according to reports.

The English international is being pursued by Manchester United, who missed the 10 August deadline for reaching an agreement with Dortmund to settle on the line.

The Premier League club still wants to reach an agreement for Sancho before the October deadline, with Dortmund willing to accept an offer of around £108 million for the player if United can raise the funds.

But according to the Telegraph, Sancho’s team-mates in Dortmund are convinced the player will stay in Germany for the coming season.

The report states that Dortmund coach Lucien Favre has used Sancho in a prominent partnership with Erling Haaland and Thorgan Hazard in regular intensive training exercises during the pre-season.

Sancho is one of Dortmund’s key men, having scored 17 goals in 16 assists for last year’s finalists in the German elite.

Dortmund goalkeeper Roman Burki said Sancho did not look bad despite intense speculation about his future.

Burki told the German newspaper Kicker this week: “I don’t think Jadon is sad to continue with Borussia Dortmund.

“He comes to training with a smile on his face and is happy to be with us.
